As a small business owner, I’m often curious about the types of services offered on business directories and the prices associated with each.

The services included on most of these types of directories span a wide variety of topics including business planning, customer relationship management, content, search engine optimization, public relations, and social media, among many others. Services and tools for each topic are then briefly described and a link is provided for all listings.

Most of the services referenced do have an associated monthly fee. But, many give you the option to try a free trial period or will refund your money if you are unsatisfied with the service. The directories often don’t list prices as the fees vary widely (anywhere from $9.95 per month to $300 per month), depending on type and level of service provided.

Reviewing these directories, I always learn about a multitude of interesting and new business and organizational tools. Several I’d heard of prior and had the opportunity to try. How about you? Have you started using a service based on a directory listing or recommendation? How satisfied have you been with the experience? I’d love to get your feedback!
